The awarding ceremony for the students who won in the State Arts Festival organized by the School Education Department last year was held in Chennai on the 30th. Minister Mahesh presented the first prize and certificate to 15 Velampalayam Corporation Middle School students who stood first in Kummi Dance (Class VI to VIII category).
Kanishka, Pragathi, Uthrakumari, Gayatri, Keerthana, Kavyashree, Tanushree, Brinda and teacher coach Revathi who participated in the state competition and won the first place were praised by school headmaster Radhamani, parent teacher association administrators and school management committee members.
