About Gävle district court

Gävle district court is a medium-sized court with approximately 40 employees. Jurisdiction is Gävle, Sandviken, Hofors and Ockelbo municipality. The district court falls under the Court of Appeal for Lower Norrland. The district court deals with civil cases, criminal cases, cases and bankruptcies and decides around 4,200 cases and cases a year.

Gävle district court is a medium-sized court with walking and cycling distance to the center. In the Gävle region there are i.a. kilometer-long beaches by the sea and skiing in Kungsberget.
