One genetic treatment has completely relieved a group of ten patients with angioedema of their complaints. After treatment based on the so-called CRISPR-Cas technique, they are disease-free and no longer need to use medication, reports the Amsterdam UMC. The academic hospital is “very pleased” with the results. According to the researchers, these also offer hope for people with other hereditary disorders.
