Atlético Madrid beat Rayo Vallecano 2-1 today, in a delayed game of the 20th round of the Spanish Football League, with the winning goal arriving in the 90th minute, scored by the Dutch Depay.
Playing at home, Atlético took the lead in the 35th minute, with a goal from Reinildo, but Rayo Vallecano equalized in the 42nd minute, through Alvaro Garcia. It was already at 90 that striker Depay secured the three points for the team led by Argentine Diego Simeone.
With this result, the ‘colchoneros’ are in third, with 47 points, the same as FC Barcelona, while Real Madrid are second, with 54, but one game less, and Girona are the leaders with 55.
Rayo Vallecano, which featured the Portuguese Miguel Crespo from the 64th minute onwards, is 13th, with 24 points.
In another delayed game, the Blaugrana beat Osasuna 1-0 today, with Brazilian Vitor Roque scoring his debut, after an assist from Portuguese João Cancelo.
