The police released names and photos on Wednesday in consultation with the next of kin and assistance lawyers.
Two women, a man and a child were found dead in the house in Skogbygda. The presumed perpetrator is the deceased’s father and grandfather (65). He called the police himself and reported the murders he had committed. He then said he wanted to take his own life. The man has been formally charged, even though he is dead.
The four dead people were found in a smoke-filled house. The police have stated that the preliminary autopsy reports show that the two women and the small child were shot. The accused 65-year-old also had gunshot wounds.
– Competent and good colleague
Katrine Nordli Korslund worked as a police officer, while Victoria Nordli Korslund was a nurse at Kongsvinger Hospital. She worked at the emergency department, writes the local newspaper Glåmdalen. The hospital is part of Akershus University Hospital (Ahus).
– Ahus Kongsvinger is a local hospital where people work closely in teams and know each other well. Victoria was a newly qualified nurse, who proved to be a competent and good colleague. She was a wonderful and happy girl who was loved by many people, says Beate Moe Castro, hospital coordinator at Ahus Kongsvinger, to Romerikes Blad.
She says the management at the hospital has followed up the employees closely.
– We have spent a lot of time on conversations, both one to one and in groups. We take care to take care of everyone in grief, also over time. Here we get good assistance from the hospital chaplain and the occupational health service, says Moe Castro.

Not sure if you will find all the answers
Why the man shot his two daughters, his 11-month-old granddaughter and finally himself is a key question for the police.
– We cannot be completely sure that we will find all the answers. In cases like this, it can be difficult to get to the bottom of why this happened, police inspector Grete Lien Metlid told NTB last week.
The police have interviewed the family and others who were close to the accused 65-year-old.
– What has triggered this, whether this is something he has suddenly come up with or thought about over time, is not something we can answer now, said Metlid.
As the oldest of the murdered women was employed in the East police district, the police in Oslo have taken over the investigation.
