/ Dozens of sports fans gathered in Tahrir Square in the center of the capital, Baghdad, on Wednesday, to follow the events of the Iraqi national team’s match with its Vietnamese counterpart, in the Asian Cup competitions, but the Baghdad Municipality disappointed them by not installing a giant screen to broadcast the match.

The lens of Agency accompanied the audience as they chanted encouragement for the “Lions of Mesopotamia”, but the Baghdad Municipality did not provide the screen that it promised to set up in Tahrir Square to broadcast the match, the events of which began at exactly two-thirty.

The public expressed its dissatisfaction with the failure of the Baghdad Municipality to fulfill its promise, and no clarification was issued by the secretariat officials regarding the matter.

The Iraqi national football team is playing its final match in the group stage of the Asian Cup, having secured its qualification to the round of 16 after defeating the national teams of Indonesia and Japan.
