Transparency International List 2023: Denmark Ranks as the Least Corrupt Country

Transparency International publishes a list of the world’s most corrupt countries every year. This list is based on factors such as administrative transparency, bribery, corruption and irregularities. Also, this organization researches and ranks 180 countries in the world.

In this regard, Transparency International has released the list of most corrupt countries for the year 2023. In this study, countries scoring 100 out of 100 are considered to be free of corruption, and countries scoring 0 out of 100 are considered highly corrupt. Also, the system awards points to countries around the world based on the measures taken by the government against corruption.

Denmark ranks first as the least corrupt country on the list with a score of 90 out of 100. Likewise, Finland has secured the 2nd position with 87 points and New Zealand has secured the 3rd position with 85 points. India is ranked 93rd in the list with 39 points. India was ranked 85th with 40 points in 2022 and is ranked 93rd with 39 points in the 2023 list. Similarly, Kazakhstan, Lesotho and Maldives have also shared 93 places with India with 39 points.

In this list, India’s neighbor Pakistan is ranked 133rd with 29 points. China is ranked 76th and Sri Lanka is ranked 115th with 34 points. Somalia ranks last (180th) as the most corrupt country with 11 points.
