- A fire broke out in the Gloten industrial area in the Thurgau municipality of Sirnach after 10 a.m.
- According to the Thurgau cantonal police, this led to a lot of smoke and a strong, unpleasant smell.
- In the early afternoon, the Thurgau police gave the all-clear.
The population was asked to close windows and doors and turn off ventilation and air conditioning. Police advised against going to the affected area. The police report that there is no longer any danger.

As Matthias Graf from the Thurgau cantonal police explained at the request of the regional journal Ostschweiz, chemicals in the form of dyes are stored in the affected industrial hall. According to the spokesman, three people have been slightly injured so far. They suffered smoke inhalation and are being cared for by rescue workers on site.
