Planzer bought the postal companies Quickmail and Quickpac

by time news

The logistics company Planzer takes over the postal service providers Quickpac and Quickmail. In January, the Competition Commission (Comco) banned the takeover of the Quickmail group by La Poste.

With the acquisition of Quickmail, Planzer indicates that it is expanding its range of services by offering addressed and unaddressed mailings in the semi-liberalized mail market. Planzer wants to continue operating Quickmail as an independent brand and organization, the company said in a statement Thursday.

According to the release, Quickpac customers will now benefit from nationwide parcel logistics. Quickpac is expected to be consolidated under the ‘Planzer Paket’ brand in the medium term.

For Nils Planzer, boss and chairman of the board of directors of Planzer, this takeover ‘allows us to have private alternatives to state solutions on both markets and to strengthen them’.
