Isak Hansen-Aarøen is done with Manchester United and ready for German Werder Bremen. The latter confirms this on Twitter/X.
– It is the right step for me. I am looking forward to playing in the Bundesliga for such a big club, says Hansen-Aarøen about the transfer.
Hansen-Aarøen has struggled to get a chance in the first team for United, and now Bundesliga football awaits the 19-year-old from Tromsø.
According to United.no wanted the Manchester club to keep Hansen-Aarøen, but the 19-year-old traveled to Bremen on Thursday to carry out the medical test.
National team manager Ståle Solbakken is positive about the transfer, which was confirmed on Deadline Day.
– It can only get better in terms of playing time. The Bundesliga is a tough league, but I hope Werder Bremen have scouted well, so that he gets a fair chance, says Solbakken to Viaplay.
The 19-year-old has over twenty matches for age-specific national teams.
He played seven games for Tromsø in the 1st division as a 16-year-old in the 2020 season.
Werder Bremen are currently in ninth place in the German top division.
Hansen-Aarøen becomes the second Norwegian player to sign for Werder Bremen on Thursday. National team goalkeeper Guro Pettersen joined the club’s women’s team a few hours earlier.
