Police area Blekinge north-east Skåne is one of the police areas in the South region and has its headquarters in Karlskrona. The geographical area includes five municipalities. Police area Blekinge north-east Scania is divided into four local police areas: Hässleholm, Karlshamn, Karlskrona and Kristianstad. At the police area level there is an investigation section, an investigation emergency section and a police area office.

Kristianstad local police area consists of Kristianstad municipality. In the local police area, there are currently 9 BF/IGV groups, two investigation groups and two support/service groups. Within the various directions of the local police area, there are intervention operations, traffic operations, dog operations, reception operations, investigation operations, targeted work towards the vulnerable area of ​​Gamlegården as well as support and service operations for the entire Kristianstad police station.

We are now looking for someone who wants to work as a group manager within the support and service operations in the Kristianstad local police area.

Job description

As head of a support and service group in the Kristianstad local police area, you report to the local police area manager and are part of the local police area’s management team, where you are jointly responsible for the execution of assignments and driving the authority’s change and development work. You have particular responsibility for the group’s activities in the area and its results. As a group leader, you represent the entire Police Authority both internally and externally and work to strengthen trust in police operations.

Being a manager and leader within the Police Authority means creating security and building trust by exercising sincere, courageous and responsive leadership with trust in the competence and ability of others. As a manager, you drive development by inspiring and encouraging reflection and feedback in a way that assumes we follow the law and treat people equally. You create the conditions and work for good relationships that contribute to us acting together based on what is best for the citizens and the mission as a whole.

The support/service group 1 mainly focuses on the external support and service activities in the local police area. The group’s main tasks include responsibility for the reception, service to the public and front desk operations where the travel agency operations are a central part. You must coordinate and be responsible for matters concerning the police’s travel document operations, service matters and for the police authority’s work with long-distance movement of vehicles. Within the assignment, there is also responsibility for recording reports when visiting the police station during the day.

The group manager roles also include responsibility for the local police area’s chancellery boxes, the PÄR administration, and the local police area’s receiver function. The group managers within support and service have joint responsibility for these tasks.

Qualifications

This is an opportunity for you who have:

– at least 6 months of continuous experience of having worked as a supervisor, project manager or similar
– experience in the relevant area of ​​operation, for example reception operations, planning function or personnel administration
– experience of participating in change and development work

We consider it meritorious if, in addition to this, you also have:
– experience in leading others towards set goals and results
– included in management forum
– experience of participating in/cooperating with social actors outside the police organization/own organization
– management and leadership training for direct, indirect and/or strategic level
– experience in travel agency operations
– experience of working within the local police area or police area level
