A man has been arrested for stealing jewelery worth Rs 23 lakh and cash of Rs 2 lakh from a house in Jharkhand when it was unoccupied.
The arrest has been made following a complaint received by the Jaffna Police Station regarding the incident.
Under the guidance of the Jaffna Regional Assistant Superintendent of Police Jarul, the team led by the Deputy In-charge of the Crime Prevention Division of the Jaffna Police Station conducted investigations into the theft and arrested the suspect related to the theft.
Investigation
At the same time, 13 pounds worth of jewelry and 2 lakh rupees cash stolen by the suspect have been recovered.
In this case, a 23-year-old man from Kottadi area has been arrested and will be produced in court after investigations.
