This Friday, February 2, the Vatican presented the details of what will be the first World Children’s Day, which will take place in Rome and worldwide on May 25 and 26, 2024 as desired by Pope Francis.
There are several occasions on which Pope Francis has expressed his affection for the little ones and the innocence they exude. Proof of this is the establishment of a day dedicated solely to them, announced last December 8 during the Sunday Angelus.
In this morning’s information conference at the Press Office of the Holy See, Cardinal Tolentino de Mendonça, Prefect of the Dicastery for Culture and Education, participated, who indicated that the day will be celebrated “at a universal level with headquarters in Rome and the Vatican, where several national delegations will converge, but also at the diocesan level, leaving the organization to the local churches.”
