Holzhausen’s mayor Andreas Ströbitzer has died

HOLZHAUSEN. Sad news comes from Holzhausen. Mayor Andreas Ströbitzer died of heart failure on Friday, February 2nd, at the age of 46.

“It is with great shock and sadness that we learned of the sudden death of our mayor Andreas Ströbitzer. Our deepest sympathy and sincere condolences go out to his family, friends and companions,” reads the message on the community’s homepage.

Ströbitzer was born in 1978 and succeeded Klaus Hügelsberger in autumn 2021. In addition to his mayoralty, he worked professionally in the IT sector. The deceased leaves behind parents, a partner and two children.

Vice Mayor Josef Buchegger is now in charge of official business.
