Sylvester Stallone pays tribute to Carl Weathers: “He changed my life forever”

Sylvester Stallone published a video on social media, on Friday night (2), lamenting the death of Carl Weatherswith whom he starred in the first films of the franchise “Rocky”.

In the publication, he stated that meeting the actor who played Apollo Creed changed his life forever.

“Carl Weathers was such an important part of my success and my life. (…) When he walked into that room and I saw him for the first time, I saw greatness, but I didn’t realize how big it was. I never would have achieved what we did with Rocky without him. He was absolutely great. His voice, his size, his power, his athletic ability, but most importantly, his heart, his soul,” he said in the video.

“A truly great man. Great dad. Great actor. Great athlete. Always really fun to be around. Extremely intelligent. Loyal like few others. Funny how few. He loved his children more than anything. What man! Everyone loved him. My wife and I had a lot of fun with him whenever we saw him,” he continued.

“Much love to his entire family and Carl will always be known as a true legend.”

Carl Weathers He died on Friday (2) at the age of 76. The cause of death was released.

He became known after playing Apollo Creed in the Rocky franchise. In recent years, he was in the cast of “The Mandalorian”.
