Peerumedu: K. on various routes to Tamil Nadu. SRTC starts inter state services. 15 services will be operated from Kottayam and Ernakulam depots. The procedures for starting the service from Saturday are being completed. KSRTC will start new inter state services on Kottayamkumali and Kampam route with six services, Ernakulam Kattapana Kampammetteni with two services, Ernakulam Kattapana Kampam with four services, Ernakulam Munnar Theni with two services and Ernakulam Marayur Udumalpeta with one service.Idukki As the type of services connecting the hilly areas of the district, the inadequacies in the transport sector of the district will also be solved to some extent.

The new bus service will be started in 2018 as per the agreement entered into with Tamil Nadu. Due to covid, many existing services were stopped. There was no interest from the authorities to resume it. But with a change in the ministerial level, it was decided to start a profitable and very useful service for those who have to make frequent trips to Tamil Nadu.

KSRTC is currently running Kumali-Kampam Kottayam and Kumali-Kampam services in good condition. In connection with the new services, senior officials will visit Kumali in the coming days and conduct an assessment.
