«The time has come to say goodbye to this great institution of Emelec. There were four years in which I really enjoyed wearing this shirt. “I cannot leave without first thanking all the fans who from the first day showed me their support and affection,” he began his message.
Before leaving, the player spoke to journalists at the Guayaquil airport and said that his new club, Aktobe FC of Kazakhstan, although it is from Asia, has European participation and is qualified for the playoffs of the next Conference League.
