Chelsea: Defeat by Wolves at home after 44 years

by time news

The pressure on Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino continues to mount as his side suffered a 4-2 defeat by Wolves at Stamford Bridge.

The London club have now lost 10 of their 23 Premier League games this year, leaving them 11th in the table and 15 points off the top four.

The London team did not manage to stand, even rudimentarily, adequately and faced many problems which are reflected in the final score. Pochettino is under increasing pressure, but Chelsea fans are quickly losing patience with their high-paid stars.

One of the main targets to vent their frustration on was Raheem Sterling, who has failed to impress in a Chelsea shirt since joining the club from the Citizens in a £45million move.

When the England international was substituted with 20 minutes remaining in the match, Chelsea fans made it clear they expect much more from one of the club’s highest paid players.

Sterling was booed by large sections of the home crowd when Pochettino substituted him. Earlier in the second half he missed a clear chance to draw his side level but missed with a low shot.

The next day undoubtedly finds the “Blues” in a difficult situation and now everything looks possible as the distance from the top six, not only does not decrease, but seems likely to increase.
