Dramatic assassination: US President Joe Biden confirmed today (Thursday) that Abdullah Kardash, the leader of ISIS, was killed last night in a widespread raid on a house in the northern Syrian town of Atma. There was Kardash.

“Tonight on my orders, the U.S. military forces have successfully completed a counter-terrorism operation,” Biden said in an official statement. “Thanks to the skill and great courage of our soldiers, we have removed the ISIS leader from the battlefield.” He further stated that he would make another statement to the media later in the day.

This is the most extensive American attack recorded since the assassination of former ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi in 2019. The Pentagon confirmed that American forces were not injured in the incident, but a military helicopter crashed and was destroyed after it was forced to make an emergency landing.

Residents of the town said American forces surrounded a high-rise building, flew helicopters around it and called on all women and children to leave the building immediately. Several hours later a heavy exchange of fire was reported, during which the house was badly damaged. It is estimated that at least 13 people were killed in the attack, including children.

Photos posted on social media showed that puddles of blood were splashed on the floor and walls of the house where the battles took place, as well as showing clothes and toys of the people who lived in the place that were destroyed during the raid. The Fox News network later reported that Kardash was wearing an explosive belt on his body – and activated it when he noticed that American forces had reached him, thereby killing himself and some of his family members.
