In the last month and a half, three farmers have been murdered in three different municipalities separated by 250 kilometers. Now, the Police are investigating whether these events are related or have been committed by the same perpetrator.
All crimes have occurred violently. In the first case, which occurred in Tudela, the victim, 68 years old, died stabbed and beaten. In the second, the 80-year-old man, which occurred in Ribaforada, had head injuries. The last one was in Vilanova de la Barca, with an 84-year-old man who was beaten and attacked with a knife.
In all three cases, it coincides that the victims were elderly. In addition, the bodies of the three farmers were located in their respective orchards. There is one last detail that may be key: at the crime scene of the third victim, in Vilanova, the car of the farmer murdered in Ribaforada has been located.
It was on January 5 when the car appeared at the scene of the third crime. The cousin of the third murdered farmer tells laSexta that he had warned him that he would be late for lunch, when the victim’s wife called her brother, appearing in the orchard. “No one comes to steal a car when there is a body 20 meters away,” she says.
