The television debates that will put the candidates for the legislative elections on March 10 face to face start this Monday. On the first day of the cycle of 28 debates, Pedro Nuno Santos (PS) and Rui Rocha (IL), on SIC, will face each other at 9pm, and André Ventura (CH) and Inês Sousa Real (PAN), on RTP3, at 10pm.

The debates were drawn between the three television channels, in a joint organization that repeats the 2022 model. All debates will last between 25 and 30 minutes, with the exception of the one that opposes the leaders of the two largest parties, whose expected duration is 75 minutes.
In addition to the 28 debates that put two party leaders into discussion, RTP organizes two more, one with all parties without parliamentary representation (February 20) and another with all those currently sitting in the Assembly of the Republic (February 23).
Of all the debates, 15 will be broadcast on generalist channels and another 15 on cable information channels. All debates in which the secretary general of the PS or the president of the PSD participate will be broadcast openly.
What have the parties promised for the March elections?
Taking into account that some parties have not yet released their electoral program, it is difficult to predict the topics on which each of the respective party leaders should focus, but issues such as housing, health and financial and economic policy should not be missing from the debate table. .
