On February 3rd, Marítimo SC hosted HC Vasco da Gama at the Municipal Carlos Silveira pavilion for the 2nd round of the 3rd Division National Championship, South B zone.
Marítimo won the game with HC Vasco da Gama 9 – 1 with 6 – 1 at half-time.
The first 10 seconds of the game had not yet passed and referee Sérgio Silva had already whistled for a penalty against HC Ponta Delgada, for pushing a defender from behind on an opponent. When João Correia converted the penalty, he did not open the scoring due to a save by Nuno Teixeira, who was very confident in defending set pieces.
At 23:04 HC PDL opened the game in a good offensive combination that Carlos Guimarães completed. Carlos Guimarães again brings the score to 2 – 0 at 13:37, with an assist from Octávio Zangheri. The 3 – 0 appears at 10:36 by Octávio Zangheri in a good offensive insistence. The 4 – 0 appears shortly after by Vilson Bartolotto with assistance from Henrique Viçoso.
With the entry of Alexandre Resendes for the five on the track, with the desire to mark what happened with a well-placed shot, bringing the score to 5 – 0 at 5:56. And in a transformation of a penalty at 4:18, Vilson Bartolotto made it 6 – 0.
And in a more aggressive move against the boards caused by Alexandre Resendes, he was shown the blue card, temporary expulsion and a direct free-kick scored by Vasco Reis 1 – 6 at minute 1:20, resulting in the teams going into the break .
In this first half we had Marítimo pressing very high on the opponent’s track, in which all the players wanted to score early with many goals and thus play more calmly.
On the other hand, we had HC Vasco da Gama, a very young team, with João Lopes in goal, very confident in defending and who was unable to take advantage of some of Marítimo’s defensive gaps.
In the 2nd half, HC Vasco Gama entered the game a little afraid, noticing a little physical fatigue, even though it contradicted the attacking inclination of the people of São Paulo. It took the 11:55 minute mark for the Blues from Calheta to raise the score to 7 – 1 once again through Octávio Zangheri.
The 8 – 1 appeared at 5:55 by Carlos Guimarães with a good assist from Alexandre Resendes. The supremacy of the Calheta blues was very evident, and once again Vilson Bartolotto made it 9 – 1 at 3:12, with assistance from Henrique Pimentel who had entered shortly before, a result with which the game ended.
An arbitration that went unnoticed and unnoticed by Sérgio Silva throughout the 50 minutes of the game.
In the 2nd half, Marítimo managed the game and Júlio Soares brought all the players called up onto the track. With this victory, Marítimo continues to lead the general classification with 40 points and is now eight points away from second place, now occupied by HC Massamá.
In appreciation of this team, it needs more maturity and commitment from some athletes who play more with their heads than with their heads.
Next weekend, Marítimo will play Paço Arcos, counting for the 25th round and occupying 7th place in the general classification.
