La Costa Fútbol and Real Club Celta de Vigo carried out a week of intensive training and football experiences for girls, boys and young people from 6 to 17 years old, marking a milestone in the promotion of grassroots football in Uruguay. The initiative was attended by prominent figures and institutional representatives, reinforcing ties through sport.
The week of activities was held in first-class facilities, culminating with a special reception at the Sofitel Carrasco Hotel, which served as a meeting point for participants, organizers and dignitaries. This event not only focused on sports training but also on offering children an unforgettable cultural and educational experience.
The inauguration and associated events were attended by personalities such as the Xunta delegate in Uruguay, Elvira Domínguez; Julio González, representative of the Galician winery Terras Gauda in Uruguay; Diego Antelo, president of AEGU; the ambassador of Spain in Uruguay, Santiago Jiménez; the director of the Celta Foundation, Germán Arteta; and the businessman Manuel Barros, among others. These presences underline the importance of international collaboration and institutional support in the development of sport and culture.
Throughout the week, the new talents were trained by professionals from RC Celta de Vigo, learning techniques, tactics and values that transcend the playing field. In addition, workshops and talks were organized on the history of football, the importance of teamwork and perseverance in pursuing your dreams.
