Officially parting ways: Dia Saba and Maccabi Haifa are no more. After he signed last week with the Emirates Club in Amrit, Maccabi Haifa officially said goodbye to the player, at least until the end of the season.
The official announcement published by the champions reads: “In a joint decision of the club and the team’s liaison, Dia Saba, it was decided to loan Saba to the Emirates Club team until the end of the season. We thank Dia for his contribution to the club’s 15th championship, and wish him success.”
As I recall, following a post shared by the player’s wife days after the outbreak of the Iron Swords War, in which she expressed sympathy with the children of Gaza and the children of Israel, Maccabi Haifa fans, along with some of the management, were outraged and the decision was made to suspend Dia from the team’s games.
