The life of Stelios Kazantzidis becomes a film, 23 years after the death of the great folk singer.
His wife and brother granted the rights, with the ANT1 show “To Proinoo” reporting that information wants Christos Mastoras to play the legend of the pentagram at a young age.
According to the same sources, this is a very large production and the film will be released in two parts. The first part will conclude with Kazantzidis’s departure for America in 1976 and the second part will reach his death, without it being known which actor will play him at an older age.

Filming is expected to begin in the Spring, with Vaso Kazantzidis confirming the news about the film but stressing that she has not yet been informed about the cast. In fact, when asked about Christos Mastoras, he answered: “A new kid! I’m really happy! But I don’t know because we haven’t discussed it… At some point they’ll let me and his brother Stathis know who the actors will be.”

He also revealed that the script is written by Katerina Beywho also wrote the script for the movie “Eftychia” about the life of Eftychia Papagiannopoulou.
“I will definitely go to the filming, definitely because filming will also take place in Agios Konstantinos. Stelios spent his best years there. It was a part that he loved” continued Vaso Kazantzidis.
