Two components are particularly significant for building houses adapted to the local reality. The first: the shell walls, the second: the roofs. In the last few days, I heard an interview with the head of the Matula council, in the interview he described the extent of the destruction that the “Cornet” missiles do to houses in general and tile roofs in particular. I listened very attentively and I believe that the challenge is to go back and tell everyone who is willing to hear about the victory of concrete. This is a national mission! “Light construction”, “advanced construction”, “carvilles”, “caravans” and more turned out to be a mistake that had already been made in the past by its owners in the Commonwealth of Nations in the nineties and in the sites of the evacuees from Gush Katif and northern Samaria. It is enough to take a short tour of the “Karvilot” site in Nitzan, talk to the tenants and draw conclusions.
