Go towards the fire is the 6th full-length film invested in and produced by K+ Television. The work, made by director Tran Thanh Huy, takes the theme of firefighters and rescuers to tell the story of one of the most dangerous occupations in the world.

The film left an impression on the audience because the disaster scenes were recreated realistically and tragically. Fires and traffic accidents with rapid developments and a large context bring emotional tension to viewers. The rescue process seemed to be taking place before the audience’s eyes, with suffocating tension.

To adhere to director Tran Thanh Huy’s point of view: “What’s real, I film, what’s fake, I take out”, the actor in the movie Going Towards Fire devoted himself to his role and directly performed it. Many dangerous action scenes. A notable scene in the movie is the accident of a passenger car losing its brakes and plunging into the river. When reading the script about a bus accident in the river, actor Tran Ngoc Vang (playing Minh Long) thought director Tran Thanh Huy would film at the swimming pool and use special effects. When taken to the river scene, the young actor was shocked and exclaimed: “Brother Huy does everything for real, I don’t know if I’m acting in a movie or participating in a real life experience?”.

The 30-seat passenger bus was submerged in the river bed. Under the supervision and support of rescue experts, Tran Ngoc Vang and the actors had to film the underwater struggle scene for many hours.

This scene was not just shot once but had to be filmed over and over again, with many different angles. The passenger car was continuously pulled up and then submerged in the water throughout a long day. Having never acted in an action movie before, Tran Ngoc Vang could not predict the difficulties and dangers of the scene. After setting up the shoot, he told himself that whatever needed to be done, he just did it. When filming in a real river, Tran Ngoc Vang also immersed himself in the character’s emotions when standing on the line of life and death, having to fight to find life not only for himself but also for other passengers.
