Seven teams – Calicut Heroes, Kochi Blue Spikers, Ahmedabad Defenders, Hyderabad Black Hawks, Chennai Blitz, Bangalore Torpedoes and Kolkata Thunderbolts – will be selected for the league. Calicut Heroes will take on Kolkata Thunderbolts in the first match of the seven. Calicut will play Ahmedabad Defenders on the 9th, Bangalore Torpedoes on the 14th, Chennai Blitz on the 17th and Hyderabad Black Hawks on the 21st. BPCL star Jerome Vineet is the captain of Calicut Heroes. The head coach is Kishore Kumar and the coaches are CV Najeeb.
