Borgonzoni at the opening night of the ‘From Venice to London’ festival

Sold out at the Italian Cultural Institute in London for the inauguration party of the third edition of “From Venice to London”, the film festival organized in collaboration with the Venice Biennale. It was the Undersecretary for Culture Lucia Borgonzoni who inaugurated, with the Italian ambassador to Great Britain Inigo Lambertini and the director of the Institute Francesco Bongarrà, the cycle of seven films selected from those presented at the 80th Venice International Film Festival, all subtitled in English, premiered in Great Britain. “I am happy and honored to have Undersecretary Borgonzoni for this exceptional event to present seven wonderful films in London, which honor us and make us loved by the English public,” said Bongarrà.

Tonight’s event is an incredible start, it continues with the GB premiere screening of Matteo Garrone’s important film Io Capitano, nominated for the ‘Oscar for best foreign film”. Borgonzoni, Lambertini and Bongarrà then arranged to meet on Thursday evening for the screening of ‘Io Capitano’ at the very central and prestigious Curzon Myfair cinema. The theater is sold out. The other screenings (‘ Felicità’ by Micaela Ramazzotti, ‘Lubo’ by Giorgio Diritti, ‘The Lion’s Share’ by Baptiste Etchegaray and Giuseppe Bucchi, ‘The Meatseller’ by Margherita Giusti produced by Luca Guadagnino, ‘Una Sterminata Domenica’ by Alain Parroni and Enea di Pietro Castellitto) will take place in the next few days at Curzon Soho.
