Signing Kylian Mbappé (PSG) is out of the question for Spanish champions FC Barcelona. Sports director Deco explained at Esport3why it wouldn’t make sense for the Catalans to try for a deal with the goalscorer.

Mbappé’s contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires this summer. The attacker is therefore free of charge, but the overall package of salary, cash and bonuses is still significantly too high for the Blaugrana, who are still financially struggling. According to Deco, players would first have to be sold in order to be able to afford Mbappé.
When asked about Mbappé, Deco explained: “I have no idea where he is going. But it would be a mistake to sell (Ronaldo) Araújo and (Frenkie) de Jong. I want to strengthen our team and not weaken it. For the team It would be bad if Araújo and Frenkie left and Mbappé came.”
While PSG continues to seek an extension with Mbappé, Barcelona’s arch-rivals Real Madrid are favorites in the fight for the 25-year-old’s services. Apparently Mbappé has already decided to move to the Spanish capital, However, the economic framework conditions have not yet been clarified.
