  • “Insolence”, “never again”, “disappointed”: In the reviews of Solbad & Spa Schönbühl, customers express their anger.

  • Reason for this: Children are now no longer allowed to go to the bathroom after 5 p.m.

  • Those responsible say that the reactions to this have been mostly positive.

  • But we take guest feedback very seriously.

The decision to no longer allow children and young people under 16 years of age to enter in the evening is causing great anger among visitors to the Solbad & Spa in Urtenen-Schönbühl BE. “Anti-social behavior towards families with children,” writes an angry visitor, representative of many other requests to speak on Google. «Nau» first reported about it.

“I traveled with my family and was allowed to go home again.”

«An impudence! Just because a few young people couldn’t behave, everyone who just wanted to have a nice evening has to suffer,” says another customer.

“I’m super disappointed,” says another review. «I came with my family and was allowed to go home. My daughter is nine years old.” The reason she was told was that children were noisy. “Children are discriminated against,” writes another user.

«We have been regular guests for years. Even with our children. Today we were turned away because children under 16 are not allowed in the bathroom after 5 p.m. An impudence! Today we went home with three sad children.”

“Child-free from 5 p.m. is completely legitimate.”

But there is also support for the brine bath’s decision: “Very relaxing, especially when only adults are allowed to do it. Maybe some parents will find this comment stupid, but that’s how I feel,” writes one visitor.

Another review says: “I find the reviews that use words like ‘discrimination’ cheeky. Not everyone has or wants children.” And further: “Child-free from 5 p.m. is completely legitimate.”

“Feedback was mostly positive”

“The feedback on this change was mostly positive, especially from adult guests who appreciated the quiet atmosphere,” says Josef T. Molnar from Solbad when asked by 20 Minutes. We take customer feedback very seriously and strive to take their needs into account.

“It is a measure that we have been considering for some time to ensure the well-being of all guests,” says Molnar. Safety concerns also played a role. The facility is not a typical fun pool facility, but rather a place for relaxation. Children typically prefer activities like slides or diving boards, according to Molnar.
