A Brazilian Team takes the field this Thursday (8) to face the Venezuela for the tournament Pre-Olympic. If defeated by Venezuela, Brazil will be fora of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The game takes place at the Brígido Iriarte stadium, in Caracas, starting at 8pm.
After the defeat to Paraguay 1-0, the team Ramon Menezes is in last place in the final quadrangular. Argentina e Venezuelain turn, drew 2-2 in the first game of this phase.
“It just depends on our strength. In this game we need to play a good game, control the actions. Every time we played good games it was by controlling the opponent’s actions. We’ve already faced Venezuela, we know the atmosphere surrounding this match, the need to win. But we’re not going to win anyway, we’re going to win through organization, through balance on the field, and by playing football”, said coach Ramon Menezes.

When they faced each other in the last round of the group stage, Venezuela beat Brazil by 3 a 1. This was the Brazilian team’s worst defeat to Venezuela in history, considering all games in the categories sub-17, sub–20, sub–23 and main team.
As two best selections of the quadrangular guarantee a place in the Paris-2024 Games.
Of the 13 editions of the tournament already held, Brazil won a place in the Olympic Games in 10 opportunities. Only in editions of 1980, 1992 e 2004 that this didn’t happen. The Brazilian team is the current two-time champion olympic.
