Jealousy is not romantic: Campaign addressing partner violence in young people’s relationships

by time news

Every fourth woman aged 16–24 states that she has been subjected to violence by a partner. Despite the fact that young people are exposed to violence in partner relationships to a greater degree than adults, it is something that the adult world sometimes does not see. The campaign “Jealousy is not romantic” draws attention to and makes visible boys’ violence against girls and violence in young people’s partner relationships.

The aim of the campaign is to make young people think, that they should think about what their relationships look like and what is actually a good relationship and what is not. It is both about preventing violence and about discovering those who are already exposed or who expose someone to violence.
