ABB Bank provided support to 9 families in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic as part of the self-employment program. Thus, the total number of families who received assistance from the bank reached 146.
The self-employment program, implemented by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, provides low-income families with production or service equipment in accordance with their business plans. ABB Bank participates in this program in accordance with a memorandum signed between the Ministry, the Central Bank and the Association of Banks of Azerbaijan. The selection of families is carried out by the State Employment Service.
The goal of the program is to create an environment for families wishing to start or grow a small business. The program does not provide for the allocation of funds, and assistance is aimed at permanent employment. ABB Bank, expressing its intention to support small and medium-sized businesses, as well as sustainable development goals, is actively participating in this program.
