Mumbai: Former India captain Ajit Agarkar has pointed out the big challenge awaiting current India fixed over captain Rohit Sharma. Agarkar said his biggest challenge for Rohit would be to play in all the matches before the upcoming Twenty20 World Cup and ODI World Cup over the next 24 months.
Rohit, who missed the South African series due to a leg injury, is currently preparing to lead the team in the series against the West Indies after recovering from an injury.
The BCCI has removed Virat Kohli from the post of ODI captain following his resignation. Rohit will then become India’s fixed over captain.
Agarkar said former India captains Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni, who had excellent fitness, rarely played matches.
