We hope that the foreign minister will be Nikolay Denkov, but we see that this creates tension on the subject. It is not worth a post, be it an important one as foreign minister, to put things on the back burner and stop work on other important priorities. This was said by the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Nikola Minchev from “Continuing the change – Democratic Bulgaria” on Nova TV.
“It is not worth it because of this misunderstanding that the other priorities should be left in the background. We have no decisions to back down, nor was it discussed in the conversation with GERB-SDS”, explained Nikola Minchev.
According to him, their argument for Academician Denkov to be foreign minister is rooted in the fact that the foreign policy of the state will be concentrated only in GERB-SDS.
“Our partners should hear the voice of PP-DB. The specific motive is to be able to maintain institutional contact,” explained Minchev.
He stated that he sincerely hoped that there would be only European elections and no others, because they would not lead to easier governance.
