And he explained that it is important who is responsible, and these were the mayor of Sofia, the head of the SOS and the largest group he manages.
For three months they failed to form a majority. And in the end, thanks to the decisive intervention of Mr. Borisov, we made an exceptional compromise to elect a chairman temporarily, until July, on a trial period. This is a technical decision to unblock all important decisions, said Georgiev.

What happened at the meeting of the municipal council, however, was that colleagues from PP-DB refused 24 times to become heads of some of the committees. The first to refuse was Boris Bonev, then when they saw him, it was clearly a stage, as they refused various positions more than 20 times. In the end, I don’t know how it happened, they took over 3 committees – 1/4 of the committees were taken over by PP, who have a mayor. They don’t know what they’re in charge of, I’m glad at least the chairman knows he’s the chairman. We will help, but this amateurism has to stop. They need to understand as soon as possible that this cannot be managed in this way – a dialogue is needed, not with foot stomping, so that at any cost they get a female employee in the municipality, added Georgiev.
And he explained that what was agreed was seen in the hall – all parties without ITN and three from “Vazrazhdane”, we supported the chairman, because the SOS must work. He said that the fuses were pulled so that the meeting could not continue with the election of the commissions.
Asked who is in charge at the moment, Georgiev answered: The mayor of Sofia is called Vasil Terziev until the court pronounces. The chairman of the SOS is called Tsvetomir Petrov from PP. They have the most advisers on any committee.
We proposed every single payment that the mayor of Sofia makes to companies on any issues above a certain amount, every single document that is signed to oblige the municipality, because we hear very scary things about a large team with civil contracts that are additionally appointed no competition, circumvention of the law, people who do not meet the requirements and tens of thousands of BGN expenses accumulate – for all this at the end of the month the mayor should send a report to the municipal councilors with a clear indication of each of the feathers, explained Georgiev. The problem is that Terziev’s team is falling apart, he added.
