Chairmen of Torah Judaism Express Anger at Netanyahu’s Shabbat Announcement on Credit Downgrade

by time news

The Chairman of Torah Judaism, Minister Yitzhak Goldgenoff, and the Chairman of Degal HaTorah, Minister Moshe Gafni, expressed their anger yesterday at the end of Shabbat at Netanyahu’s choice to publish a response to Moody’s credit downgrade during Shabbat.

Minister Goldknopf wrote on his account on the X social network: “The Prime Minister’s announcement on Shabbat regarding the credit rating was out of place. It is not about soul control, not about an emergency, and not about a response that could not be published at the end of Shabbat.”

Chairman of the Degal Torah Knesset member Moshe Gafni said at an election conference in Bnei Brak in favor of the Degal Torah list: “I don’t understand why Prime Minister Netanyahu had to issue the announcement on Shabbat. For what need? Completely unnecessary.”

Knesset member Israel Eichler also spoke out on the subject: “The Sabbath is the source of blessing. Because if I keep Shabbat, we will keep it. To publish announcements on Shabbat about the credit rating of economic propaganda agencies, and to desecrate the trampled Shabbat at the beginning of every night, is a disgrace and a disgrace to the state.”
