Under the patronage of Prime Minister Engineer Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, the third half-marathon competitions were held in the capital, Baghdad, with the participation of (29) countries from various countries of the world and in the presence of the Vice-Presidents of the Olympic Committee, Samir Al-Moussawi and Ziad Hassan, and a number of members of the Executive Office, a number of heads of Arab federations, and ambassadors and consuls of a number of friendly countries. And a number of sports and security figures.

The correspondent of the (INA) stated, “The Ugandan (Victor Kiyombo) won first place in the (21) km race, while the Ethiopian (Mulat Bazizu) won second place, the Kenyan (Elija Kibet) took third place, and the Ethiopian (Habtamyo Berlio) came in the fourth place”.
He added, “Kenyan Nancy Sang won first place in the women’s 10 km race, while Ethiopian Bekele Anbesu won second place, Kenyan Faith Chebschershire came in third place, and Ethiopian Netsanet Tafer came in fourth place.” .
