Day after day, in every community we go to, we learn something very valuable that characterizes health personnel, forensic workers, community leaders, teachers and everyone we support: there is no room to give up. This doesn’t mean that gun violence doesn’t have a devastating effect on their lives, it means that despite challenging circumstances, they are always willing to find solutions and move forward.

Throughout 2023 we carry out our humanitarian work to protect and assist those who have been affected by armed violence in areas of the states of Bolívar, Capital District, Miranda, Aragua, Táchira, Apure and Zulia. We work hand in hand with people in the development of projects, we listen to their needs, but also their ideas, contributions and the story they have to tell. Why did we do it like this? Because 2023 was a year to empower people, to give them the opportunity to show their capabilities and strengthen those in which they needed support, so that they can reduce the negative consequences of violence in their lives.

In the following report, we tell you with figures, but above all with facts, the impact that our activities have had in the country and how we will continue to do so in 2024 together with the communities, authorities, members of civil society, as well as with the Venezuelan Red Cross.
