The president of Sifup, Gamadiel García, issued a harsh warning to the leaders and announced the date on which they will vote on the option of paralyzing Chilean football.
He Council of Presidents of the ANFP caused a strong shock in national football by ratifying a controversial measure that allows increasing the foreigner quotas per club. In this way, each team will be able to have six foreign players.
This situation made the Professional Footballers Union (Sifup) will react immediately to exert pressure to change this regulation.
In this sense, the president of Sifup, Gamadiel Garcia, assured that unemployment is “imminent”. This is just two weeks before the Chilean championship begins.
This was announced this Friday at a press conference: “Our assembly meets on Tuesday, but The strike is imminent. It will be the captains who will vote this Tuesday“.
After that, he explained the reasons for the general annoyance that the ratification of the increase in foreign quotas has generated, since they argued that directly affected the lower categories and benefited the triangulation business between clubs linked to others.
In this way, Gamadiel García accused: “There are teams that began in Chile with triangulations, after them, many businessmen started with white sticks, how do you say, This means that we do not have real competition in the hiring of players, Nor in the other categories of Chilean football, where we ask for more relegations, promotion and promotion leagues so that there is more competition. “We also ask for a third tournament.”
