The Ministry of Education and Science will launch a new project under the “Education” Program, with which we will support children, parents and teachers in the preschool education system. This was announced by the Deputy Minister of Education and Science Emilia Lazarova at the conference “Pedagogical Communication – Social and Emotional “, organized by the Center for Training and Qualification of Pedagogical Specialists, the Union of Bulgarian Teachers and the Institute of Rhetoric and Communications.
The main goal of the project will be to develop the potential of preschool children through support for their personal development with a view to their more successful social realization. Among the activities that will be financed is the improvement of the qualifications of pedagogical specialists for the implementation of general and additional support for personal development, including social-emotional learning in kindergartens.
Intensive work with parents at the level of kindergarten and nursery groups and at the school level with groups for compulsory pre-school education is planned for the formation of positive attitudes towards education and for their full participation in the educational process. “The kindergarten teacher is the first to introduce the child to the education system,” said the Deputy Minister of Education and Science.
She emphasized that the MES team values the opinion, relies and trusts the experience and expertise of the Bulgarian teacher in school education as well. Their partnership is also important for developing a vision for different curricula aimed at building skills and competences and integrating knowledge, Emilia Lazarova also said. The Ministry of Education and Culture is also working to prepare rules and guidelines for working with artificial intelligence in the school education system.
