The Bulgarian Chess Federation 2022, which is licensed by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, addressed the International Chess Federation (FIDE) accepted member Bulgarian Chess Federation with an invitation to unify according to the plan proposed by the president of the Bulgarian Olympic Committee Stefka Kostadinova .
In a letter to the media from BFSh 2022, they indicate that this process can be set in motion as early as February 24, when the federation will hold a Reporting-Election Meeting.
“On February 24, the Report and Election Meeting of the Bulgarian Chess Federation 2022 will be held in Sofia. The unification of chess clubs in our country is a continuous process of inclusion. The leadership of the BFSh 2022 invites all chairmen of clubs that are not yet members of the licensed federation , to be guests at the meeting.This way, they will be able to familiarize themselves with the activity, budget and way of working of the federation.
We are addressing the Bulgarian Sports Chess Federation in the person of the chairman Milen Vassilev. In the name of the successful future of Bulgarian chess, we at the Bulgarian Chess Federation 2022 once again confirm our readiness to implement the plan proposed by the BOK President Stefka Kostadinova.
“I publicly declare again my proposal to Milen Vasilev for co-chairman of the licensed federation. Let’s together form a management team that will lead Bulgarian chess forward,” said Prof. Veneta Petkova, chairperson of the BFSh 2022.
“It is time for concrete actions in the name of sport! Let’s not allow chess to fall into an organizational citadel! I believe that together we can achieve more, much more!”, Petkova also states.
We remind you that according to the BOK plan, the united federation should have two co-presidents, one of whom is responsible for conducting the national calendar, and the other for the international calendar.
