Over 22 tons of fake washing powder and nearly 20,000 “branded” goods were discovered by customs officials during two separate inspections of trucks entering the country from Turkey. This is reported by the “Customs” Agency.

In one of the cases, on 08.02.2024, a tractor with a semi-trailer with Turkish registration arrived at MP Kapitan Andreevo on its way to Slovenia. The truck underwent a thorough customs inspection, during which 22,360 kg of washing powder in 6 kg packages were found in the cargo area. All packages have the logo of a well-known brand. The trademark owner has been notified of the case, and has confirmed that the goods are counterfeit.

On the same day, in another truck with a Turkish registration number, 19,800 items were found, most of them paper labels, with designations of protected trademarks. According to the documents submitted by the driver, a Turkish citizen, he was transporting textiles from Turkey to Poland.
