In an electrifying game, especially in the second half, Barcelona and Granada drew 3-3 this Sunday, in the 24th round of the Spanish Championship. The game took place at the Olympic Stadium in Barcelona. Lamine Yamal, twice, and Lewandowski scored for the hosts, while Ricard Sanchez, Miquel and Pellistri were the visitors’ top scorers.
With the result, Barcelona remained in third place in the table, with 51 points, now 10 points behind leader Real Madrid. Granada remains in second place, with 13 points. Celta, the first club outside the relegation zone, has 20. The Catalans return to the field next Saturday (17), away from home, against Celta. Granada hosts Almeria the following day.
First time
Barcelona started the game by putting pressure on Granada, prowling the opponent’s area and causing danger in some attempts. Until, in the 13th minute, after a play worked on the left side, João Cancelo crossed from the baseline and Lamine Yamal made Barça 1-0.
The goal did not discourage the home team, however, it woke up Granada. The team from the south of the country, in this way, also started to threaten the Catalan defense. The visitors’ momentum, however, only turned into a goal almost at the end of the stage. In fact, great goal. In the 42nd minute, Pellistri made his way to the baseline, crossed and Ricard put it away.
Second time
As in most of the first half, the balance of actions also marked the second. In this way, the two teams alternated in dangerous moves towards the opponent. As a result, the goals ended up coming. At 15 Ricard launched the ball into the area, Uzuni crossed the ball and Pellistri turned the game around. But not for long. Three minutes later, Gundogan passed to Lewandowski and the top scorer shot, with no chance for Battagia: 2 to 2.
The match continued at a breakneck pace. At 21, Mouassa crossed the ball and Miquel, with a header, put Granada in front again. Barça’s new equalizer, this time, took a little longer, but came in the 35th minute. Yamal scored his second and the Catalans’ third after stealing the ball from Calejón, turning and finding Battaglia’s corner. Both teams continued trying to win. However, without the same efficiency in conclusions, the score remained until the end.
