Germany will lose its status as an industrial superpower in the coming days. This was caused by competition from the United States, the energy crisis and a decrease in Chinese interest in German goods, Day.Az reported on Saturday with reference to Bloomberg.
It is noted that the CEO of GEA Group AG, which supplies manufacturing equipment, Stefan Klebert believes that Germany is experiencing its last days as an industrial superpower. In his opinion, a downward trend has been observed since 2017.
“To be honest, there’s not a lot of hope. I’m really not sure we can stop this trend,” Clebert said.
Prior to this, a representative of the German Ministry of Defense, Arne Collatz, stated that the country currently does not have the production capacity to conclude additional agreements on the supply of more ammunition to Ukraine. He noted that according to current needs, Germany’s capacity is “at the limit of what is possible.”
He also added that Kyiv’s needs for ammunition are so great that German industry has guarantees that all manufactured goods will be accepted by them.
