Russia will suspend the sale of Jermuk mineral water produced in Armenia.

As Day.Az reports, the cause was a burn to the esophagus of a resident of Vladikavkaz after drinking water of this brand.

It became known that instead of water there was vinegar in the bottle.

Rospotrebnadzor issued a statement regarding the incident. In order to check the safety of water in the country, the sale of some batches of Jermuk brand water is suspended.

Let us recall that earlier, a resident of North Ossetia received a burn to the esophagus after taking a sip of vinegar, which turned out to be in a new, unopened bottle of mineral water from Armenia.

It is recommended to suspend its sale in the region, said the head of the republic, Sergei Menyailo, in his Telegram channel.

“Today information appeared that a resident of Vladikavkaz received a burn to the esophagus after taking a sip from a bottle of Jermuk mineral water. Instead of water, the new closed bottle contained vinegar. I know about the situation. The Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Prosecutor’s Office, and Rospotrebnadzor have been involved in clarifying the circumstances,” – the message says.
