Calabria: Ornella Muti and her daughter Nike…”always alongside Italian farmers”

by time news

Ornella Muti (real name Francesca Rivelli) was a guest last Saturday on “Verissimo”, the well-known program hosted by Silvia Toffanin e in which the actress declared that she was very close to the demonstration of recent days implemented by Italian farmers in defense of the sector. At Toffanin’s specific request: “There is a lot of talk about you because you have been on the front line alongside the farmers and their controversy (editor’s note, rather than controversy it would be more correct to define it as a “claim”). Why did you feel this need and this desire to expose yourself? Muti responded convincingly and with a beautiful smile: “Absolutely yes, because I think it’s nice to expose yourself every now and then, because it’s nice to talk, but then if you don’t expose yourself there’s no point. I have always paid great attention to food and, therefore, to nutrition in general and I believe that this is an important battle because we must conserve and preserve our land which is what nourishes us and, therefore, I think we should eat our food and to do so our farmers need to have everyone’s support otherwise, alone, they cannot do it. Support is especially necessary for small farmers as it is precisely these who make the big difference and therefore… I am with them”

Meanwhile, the organizers of the Italian agricultural protest have announced that a large demonstration is planned for next Thursday (15 February 2024) at the Circus Maximus in Rome where many farmers from all over the country are expected. The objective is to represent and ask the Government to safeguard the interests of the entire agricultural sector, a driving sector for the entire national economy which cannot and must not be neglected just to please the European Union.

We remember that Ornella Muti’s daughter, Naike Rivelli, is also on the same wavelength, saying: “We now come from Calabria where the food is all organic. Today we are paying our farmers not to produce and therefore buy abroad, what is happening is a bit sensational, but what are we talking about?”
