The two criminals who killed the young Cuban machinist, Nelson Reina Quintana, in July of last year in the province of Pinar del Río, were sentenced to long prison terms.

As reported by reporter Niover Licea on his social networks, Yoandri Gabriel Valdés, alias “Titico”, was sentenced to life imprisonment, while David Villafruela Chongo received a sentence of 30 years in prison.

As will be remembered, the two subjects, who were allegedly drunk at the time of committing the homicide, attacked the engineer when he was driving a train that was taking passengers to Boca Sábalo beach.

The brutal murder caused outrage and commotion on social networks, where photos of Nelson and also his family were spread, as it should be noted that he left behind his wife and baby.

Meanwhile, Licea expressed that it cannot be said that justice has worked fairly, since, in his opinion, the two men deserved the death penalty.

However, he added that at least the train driver’s relatives will know that the criminals will serve years in prison for life… or at least that is what the Pinar del Río authorities say.

On the other hand, the reporter warned that the person sentenced to 30 years could be released sooner “if he behaves well” and collaborates with the authorities, and that the one sentenced to life could benefit from a pardon or change of regime, with the possibility of being released. at any time to the street.

In recent times, the wave of violence in Cuba has only spread to every corner of the territory, and just like Nelson Reina Quintana, there are many people whose lives were unjustly snuffed out, without deserving it under any circumstances.

Meanwhile, the regime continues trying to hide the reality and, as if that were not enough, it insists on persecuting those precisely who express their despair over so much misfortune.
