League C kicks off on Thursday, September 5th, with Sweden’s visit to Azerbaijan being one of the four games on the opening day.

Fresh from participating in UEFA EURO 2024, Romania travels to Kosovo the following night, while on Saturday the Faroe Islands face North Macedonia in the first official game between the two.

Games at 7:45 pm in mainland Portugal unless otherwise indicated.

How League C of the Nations League 2024/25 works

League D contains 16 teams, divided into two groups of four. Everyone will face each other, with home and away games in September, October and November 2024. The final ranking of each determines what happens next:

1st Promoted to League B for the 2026/27 edition.

2nd Faces the third-placed teams from League B in the promotion/relegation play-off, with home and away games. The winner will compete in League B in 2026/27 while the losers will compete in League C.

3rd Remains in League C for 2026/27.

4th The two worst fourth-placed teams in League C are relegated to League D. The two best fourth-placed teams in League C face the two second-placed teams in League D in the play-out, with the winner competing in League C in 2026/27 and the defeated to compete in League D.
